Ralph is the fifth in a line of seven siblings. He is a native New Yorker who grew up in the Bronx, New York, and attended DeWitt Clinton High School. Thereafter, he moved to Long Island and established roots in Long Beach and West Hempstead, New York, in Nassau Country. Ralph graduated from Long Beach High School and is self-educated in the school of hard knocks. Ralph Oyague (O-yag-gee [phonetic]) was a self-employed former small-business owner who is semi-retired with interests and hobbies in the foreign exchange market, writing poetry, and collecting antiques. He became intrigued with quatrain rhyme and iambic pentameter verse while studying English Poetry Anthologies from as far back into the 1600’s. He has incorporated some in this children’s book. It is Ralph’s desire that this book will be incorporated in the elementary, and pre-kindergarten, to third grade curriculum as well as pre-school day care centers. Besides writing poetry, Ralph likes to write screenplays, and stageplays. He is currently living in Suffolk, New York.
